afterlife: Black LP

The sonic landscapes crafted by acclaimed Lofi producer mt. fujitive are a sonic heaven – an eternal place where time stretches and elongates - the meeting point between a nostalgic past and a dreamlike future. His 4th solo album ‘Afterlife’ will be released 28th of October on Alda Music.

Hailing from Reykjavik, Iceland mt. fujitive understands their music as containers for feeling - ‘It’s the greatest compliment for me when someone says my music gives them space to drop all their worries, that it feels like a whole universe and they never want it to end’. Indeed it is this timeless, safe space evoked by mt. fujitive’s carefully selected samples and lovingly crafted beats, seamlessly woven together that creates a meditative, arresting and transporting experience that suspends time. The album tracks ‘seaside dream’ and ‘heim’ (the Icelandic word for ‘home’) ease the listener into the realms of comfort whilst tracks ‘light’ and ‘no matter’ cast warm beams of ray with a sense of letting go. mt. fujitive seeks to endow the listener with the ultimate gift; peace. Inviting an audience to live inside the song, where there is the freedom to move through whatever emotions, states or feelings need to be moved through, contained by music.
