PROPAGANDA 6-CD / Blu Ray- A SECRET SENSE OF RHYTHM: A SECRET SENSE OF SIN
A COMPLETE, 6-CD ANTHOLOGY OF PROPAGANDA’S GROUNDBREAKING ZTT ERA

This extensive collection gives an unprecedented insight into the now legendary debut album with Stephen Lipson producing. The discs are housed in a slip-sleeved box and feature a new remastered version of the album and a collection of Demos, Singles, outtakes, and unreleased material

DISC 1: SECRET
An encyclopaedic edition of the debut album, A Secret Wish with all tracks from all
editions. Plus the group’s original intended sequence remastered for its 40th
anniversary.

DISC 2: STAHLNETZ
If A Secret Wish was “ABBA in heaven”, STAHLNETZ is “ABBA in hell”: the full, extendedrealisation of Propaganda's remix album Wishful Thinking, adding the complete – and largely unreleased Disturbdance series. And with a title referencing both Claudia Brücken’s iconic metal dress from the group’s artwork and one of the most brutal 12" mixes of Dr Mabuse ever recorded.

DISC 3: SINGLETTE
Propaganda's three specially-edited EPs - known in ZTT’s world as singlettes - all with unique remixes, edits and sequences: Do Well (Duel), Complete Machinery (p:Machinery). And, for the first time on CD, the full singlette of (The Nine Lives of) Dr Mabuse. Originally rush-released for cassette with only two tracks, SINGLETTE presents the originally-planned five track suite.

DISC 4: SERIES
A tour through Propaganda's contributions to ZTT's Action, Incidental, and Fatal series. In other words, some of the biggest, boldest 12” remixes in the history of electronic pop. All linked together by The Testaments of Propaganda archive of interludes and edits.

DISC 5: STUDIO
A behind-the-scenes tour of Propaganda in the recording studio: the making of the albums and singles via raw, illuminating works-in-progress juxtaposed with beautiful, finished versions which never originally saw the light of day.

DISC 6: STAGE
Propaganda on the television and movie soundstages. From television, the Anton Corbijn and Zbigniew Rybczyński video mixes of Dr Mabuse and p:Machinery, and the Top Of The Pops Mix of Duel. STAGE also includes the previously-unreleased exact mix of Dr Mabuse that was used in John Hughes' classic 1987 movie, Some Kind of Wonderful. Note that all compilations - including 2022's Live Moves Pretty Fast four-CD box set of Hughes soundtracks - have hitherto used the wrong mix of this track.
