Carlos Alberto García Moreno, better known by his stage name Charly García, is an Argentine singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, composer and record producer, considered one of the most important rock musicians in Argentine and Latin American music. Named "the father of rock nacional", he is known for the complexity of his compositions covering genres like folk rock, progressive rock, symphonic rock, jazz, new wave and many others.
His lyrics are known for being defiant and critical towards modern Argentine society, especially during the era of the military dictatorship and for his rebellious and extravagant personality.
This album might be his most polished and cohesive (in a good way of course!) and contains some of his most famous songs such as "No Voy en Tren" and "Rezo por Vos". With a few exceptions, García plays all the instruments on all the songs, except for the drums. If you're into Soda Stereo, definitely do not miss this record.
