Inspired by the cult French comic book from the 70s, "Valerian and the City of Thousand Planets" is the biggest Luc Besson movie ever, featuring Cara Delevingne and Dane Dehaan in leading roles, with Rihanna, Clive Owen, Herbie Hancock, Kris Wu and Alain Chabat in supporting roles.
The movie's amazing score is composed by very well known French composer Alexandre Desplats (Harry Potter, Twilight, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Grand Budapest Hotel and many more). It was recorded in the prestigious Radio France Studio 104 with the National French Orchestra (97 musicians) and the Chœur de Radio France (40 choristers) and has a continuous and determining presence in the movie.
The soundtrack also includes original songs by Alexiane ("A Million On My Soul" ), composed and produced by Stargate, the team behind some of Beyonce and Katy Perry's biggest hits, and Julien Rey ("Bubble Dance") which is produced by DJ Mustard (Rihanna, Will.i.am, Nelly). There are also new tracks by Wycliff Jean and the film’s star, Cara Delevingne.
There are also classic tracks by David Bowie ("Space Oddity", featured during the opening credits), Bob Marley & The Wailers ("Jamming"), Quasimoto ("Rappcats") and Charles Bradley ("The World (Is Going Up In Flame)").
