German alt-rock band Guano Apes was founded in 1994. Its band members include vocalist Sandra Nasić, guitarist Henning Rümenapp, bassist Stefan Ude and drummer Dennis Poschwatta. Guano Apes’ sound is a fusion of metal, pop and rap. Their first single, the 1997 “Open Your Eyes”, became a hit already, after which several others have followed. In 2004, the compilation Planet Of The Apes came out, which included their biggest hits. Not long after, Rareapes was released, another compilation album but featuring lesser known gems and Guano Apes rarities. In addition, this 2LP includes several remixes of their big hits like “Open Your Eyes” and “Big In Japan” by Space Jazz Dubmen, G-Ball and Kaleve amongst others.
Rareapes is available on vinyl for the first time as a limited edition of 1000 individually numbered copies on silver & black marbled vinyl, housed in a gatefold sleeve.
